MetroGnome Electro remix of Ellie Goulding – Lights.
There’s a big question about whether this is really constitutes live music, or a performance. In the end though mashing the drum machine looks fairly similar to chording or shredding, and the loop tracks are similar to simple looped drum machines so many artists play, or backing tracks. With the added benefit that he sets it all up. It’s fun to see someone put it all together, and play it out. It’s definitely not improv in this case though, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying it. via reddit

Ed Alleyne-Johnson busking electric violin at the square in Chester UK on May 2006
Electric violin is a pretty neat instrument, and pedal use is on the rise for solo artists. This is a nice street performance of both.
It’s a bit weird and random but I rather enjoy the cameraman’s moving around, really showing off the atmosphere where this is meant to be enjoyed.
